Goodbye Fall, Hello Winter!

I am a little sad today because the beautiful month of October we just had is gone and November is looking to be cold and wet. It rained all day today and it looks like snow is coming in tomorrow. We had a great month and even had 70 degree temperatures for Halloween, which doesn't happen. It was great. I loved taking walks and catching up with neighbors as the kids played. I am grateful that winter didn't come too soon, but I know that we are now in for some months of cold and snow. I am looking forward to the ski season and so there is a bright spot.

On the other hand I'm pretty excited today as well because tomorrow I leave for Wisconsin to see my two brothers. Seth has a conference there for work and so I'm going to join him and hang with my brothers and their families. I have not made the trip back there yet and so it is about time. We will spend a couple of days in Milwaukee and then head up to Chicago to hang there for a couple of days. I've never been to Chicago, so I'm pretty excited. I don't leave my kids much to go on vacation, so I'm a little nervous but I know that they are in capable hands with their Grandma and Aunt. They always seem to make things a party, so I'm sure the kids will have a blast.

Fun to read the updates. Glad you were able to get away with Seth and go to the glorious state of WI! We loved LOVED our Milwaukee years and have a soft spot in our hearts for that place (it used to be a frozen spot, but it has thawed some :)) Hope it was great. Byron and I got away last weekend and it was fabulous. Stressful and hectic to get things ready to leave, but totally worth it. The kids somehow survive without us, go figure!

So you asked forever ago about being in AZ over Thanksgiving (I am a VERY sporadic blogger). Won't make it there for the holidays this year, crossing our fingers for a trip out this spring to house hunt. Byron is interviewing in Phx beginning of Dec.... we'll see...
